Welcome! I’m Dynell Garron.
It’s great to meet you here, in this space where learning meets understanding.
I became an educational therapist (ET) because I love teaching and learning, and I wanted to bring a deeply personal, targeted approach to helping students succeed. My journey began when I watched an ET transform my own son’s relationship with learning. She taught him how to read with a balance of precision, care, and insight that inspired me to pursue this career. Her ability to align strategies with his needs spoke to both my analytical brain and my parent’s heart.
 Why I Do This Work
I’m passionate about helping teens develop the skills and confidence they need to overcome barriers to learning.
- My approach centers on science-backed strategies tailored to students’ unique needs, including neurodivergent learning strategies and evidence-based emotional regulation tools.
- I empower students with skills to navigate academic challenges, reduce math and test anxiety, and thrive in rigorous academic environments.
- My ultimate goal is to help teens build sustainable habits that foster lifelong resilience, confidence, and success.
Parenting My Twice-Exceptional Son
My journey as a parent to a twice-exceptional child began when my son, Jasiyah, came into my life at two and a half. Like many parents, I doubted myself, wishing for a manual to guide me. The turning point came when I realized the best way forward was to let him show me what he needed.
Fast forward to today: Jasiyah is a college student diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Parenting through these challenges has taught me patience, creativity, and a deep respect for the unique ways each child learns. I know the sleepless nights, the fear of failure, and the gut-wrenching moments when grades don’t reflect your teen’s effort or potential.
And I also know the joy of small wins—watching a teen bounce back from setbacks, tackle challenges with renewed confidence, and grow into a young adult with resilience and determination.
My Professional Expertise
For over a decade, I’ve worked with high-achieving teens who face the dual challenges of managing ADHD, anxiety, or depression while striving to excel in rigorous academic programs. I’ve seen firsthand how these pressures can amplify symptoms, leaving teens and families feeling stuck and overwhelmed.
Through my programs, students have:
- Moved from disengagement to passing grades within 12 weeks.
- Elevated from average performance to honor roll status in as little as 8 weeks.
- Overcome math insecurities to confidently excel in AP math classes.
My Balanced Learning Blueprint™ is grounded in the brain’s learning processes and cognitive science. It combines:
- Neurodivergent Learning Strategies: Tailored tools for focus, organization, and memory retention.
- Emotional Regulation Practices: Evidence-based techniques to manage frustrations and reduce test anxiety.
These aren’t temporary fixes; they’re life skills that set students up for long-term success.
My Vision for Every Family
I believe every student deserves access to individualized learning support, regardless of their abilities, zip code, or diagnosis. As a mother and educational therapist, my mission is to break down barriers to learning and help families rediscover hope and possibility in their academic journey.
With the right tools and support, your teen can achieve remarkable things—and your family can experience the joy of seeing them thrive.
If you’re ready to take the next step, let’s connect. Together, we can help your teen unlock their full potential and build a brighter future.
